Who can take the courses on Annals of Internal Medicine CME?
In order to earn credits, you must be an ACP Member, or an individual subscriber to the Annals of Internal Medicine. Institutional subscriptions are not valid for CME. To subscribe, please visit http://www.acponline.org/catalog/journals/annals.htm.
Physicians with current and valid licenses in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico are eligible for credit even if they live or practice in other countries. Physicians licensed in other countries are also welcome to participate in this CME activity. However, the AMA Physician's Recognition Award is only available to physicians licensed in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico. Go to the Subscription Activation page, enter your Subscription Number (this is your 8-digit ACP ID number, which you can find on your Annals mailing label) and follow the instructions. You use CME tokens to gain access to the CME quizzes. ACP Members and individual subscribers receive 20 free CME tokens per year as part of their Membership or subscription. One CME token is debited from your account for each quiz you complete. If you use all 20 tokens you may purchase more online, using a credit card. So you may take 20 CME courses a year for free, and as many more after that as you wish to purchase tokens for.
How can I earn credit using Annals of Internal Medicine CME?
Credit from Annals of Internal Medicine CME is granted on a per-course basis (usually 1 credit hour per completed course). What will I receive to document the credit I have earned?
Once you have completed a course and specified how much credit you deserve, your My CME summary page will be updated to reflect the hours earned along with a link to a printable version of the official certificate for that course. You may then submit this certificate to the appropriate accrediting body. How do I know that my answers for the CME quiz are correct?
Once you have successfully completed a specific CME course, your quiz score will be displayed, along with the correct answers highlighted. A link to the preferred answer in the context of the reading material may also be provided. Do I need to get a percentage of questions correct to earn credit?
You need to answer all questions correctly to earn credit. You may take a quiz multiple times, until you get all the answers correct. "Cookies" and your Privacy
